MPD26 + launchpad or apc40???

soo i want to get into hardware cuz im tired of controlling ableton just with mouse and keyboard. so my budget is around 350. i really want the mpd beacause of the pads, but what i can combine it to launch clips and controll the scenes???, should i get the launchpad or the apc40? i like the apc, but i think it will be lots if faders and knobs, too big, and kinda more expensive. on the otherside the launchpad doesnt have the faders and knobs, is smaller and buspowered. soo i please need help. the difference of price between lp and apc would be only 50 bucks, so is it worth it?, and would it work great with the mpd?? pleaseee helppppppp

I recently bought an APC40 and MPD18. Check those out. You can definitely get that combo for under $400. I've seen APC40's brand new on eBay being sold by stores for $200 and I got the MPD18 brand new for around $90. I think if you went with the APC you wouldnt necessarily need the MPD26. The APC would give you a lot of faders etc. You could look used though on eBay.

Right out of the box, the APC is great for triggering clips/scenes and for manipulating live effects. Technically you can get some templates that will let you bang out beats with it, but I use the MPD for that. The APC pads aren't really designed to have any feel as the MPD or Push pads do.

If you want knobs and faders, definitely go with the APC. If you more want to simply trigger clips etc, then Launchpad will do the job.

thanks a lot Jay_nj im thinking a lot about it, i think ill go with the apc40 and wait a little more for the mpd but thanks.
p.s. the apc40 is $206.75 at guitar center, so probably ill get it there.
