effects question

Post by lchayler » Wed Mar 20, 2013 1:30 pm

Erm, Hello all.. New to the community, Been playing with suite 8 for a few months, still at a pretty basic level. I have a question to which im sure someone will have an answer to. i have a trance rif ive made with no effects. If i want to add certain effects to certain notes how do i go about doing so. For example notes on F3, A3, F4, A3 0n 1/16 notes and i want a ping pong delay on F3 and F4 only and a reverb on F4. Im guessing some sort of rack chain? im not exactly sure how to do it.

Anyhow, cheers.

At first: I´m not a pro user as many others here in the forum. I would make it simple.

Make some new tracks, duplicate the clips and the synth to the new tracks, put the effects you want on the certain tracks and erase the midinotes you dont whant to be affected by the effects. Perhaps - at least freeze the tracks to save processor power.

Got it ?

Cheers all for the input. Automating the reverb device on and off is fine unless you want your reverb tail to overlap the next note but without effecting that same next note. I figure the best way for me to do it is to create new tracks each with effects on the notes i wish and then mix them down to one track.
