Got my hands on the Akai MAX49 keyboard at a great price and I'm very close to exchanging it because of it's compatibility issues w/Live 9. I figured getting anything Akai with Ableton is pretty much always a safe bet as far as ease of use, setup, etc.. definitely not the case (for me) with the MAX49.
Would like to keep it though. Is anyone currently using the MAX49 with Live 9 with no problems? After checking the Akai forum, Youtube, Google, etc, I haven't found anyone who's got it synced up w/Ableton. If you have it and it IS working for you, plz elaborate on how you set it up (i.e. Vyzex, Akai Connect). Would love to get this thing working!
Thanks!!!

Hi!
The only thing I noticed is that I have to restart Live if I click on ether the FFW- or REW-button. The song speeds away and nothing is in sync.

If you notice problems like this, they'll probably get fixed faster if you report it to Ableton.
See Live9 Beta forum.

I have the same issue with these buttons. This seems to be the only issue I have and don't really use this feature much but would be great to fix.
All the videos out there showcasing this keyboard don't get into too much detail on how powerful and feature rich it is. I had to return an AxiomAir because all the "D" keys were not working (a lot of other people having this issue).
I spent a little more and bought the Max49 keyboard for the quality and more features. I'm definitely in love with the Max49. When you start discovering all the little features that save time and make the experience great you will enjoy the keyboard a lot!
