i was wondering if you can purchase a printed manual, i hate using the digital one, with my laptop there is no space

Only with the boxed version. I asked the Abe's a few weeks ago and they confirmed that they aren't selling the printed manual without the box.

Hi dude, what a f***ing pain to head up, head down, etc, I choose to take the Suite box and i agree 50 euro is expensive (anyway, Stantard or Suite are both priced 50€).

But despite the fact I'm always think in a "less is more" way : JUST BUY IT. I have seen some guys saying the book is badly printed, blahhhhblahhh, anyway everything can be turned against Ableton since the release, disgusting.

When I watched the front of the box I realized at first that looking at the "text" and then switching to the white words, I swear, you have an optical effect and... Less talking, it's a state of the art item in every details.

The book is for me better than the Suite 8 one, pages and back+front are "lighter", but the paper doesn't colors itself although I practiced some sort of torture to that book.

Inside the box, a "nice cool authntic" depiction of what is for me a "home-studio" : all the stuff is branded, vintage instruments, Fender stuff, instrument mics are those neuman things you can't afford (but for having a sound-tech-nothing graduate I just know it's not just expensive hardware randomly placed. Even a Shure SM58 for singing, a Moog synth, no Push, just a launchpad ...

And having all packs in five DVD9 (forget about the first for the soft it's the 9.0 one). And of course stickers, double the single sheet from "Box 8", and a "share" trial DVD.

Seriously, is all of us can afford, even painfully, a purchase like this kind of software, when I see what I got for the +50 bucks, I won't regret. I've just waited for a month so I finally can afford some cheap but usefool other things...

So let's be in a kind of "I'm "the great one" knowing the truth, like all those who follow that WTF fashion to complain, ordering a box can only disappoint the "always have been full of money", the "Mummy's kind Eric Cartman boy (who doesn't make any sound because crying about a better "headache-triggering" is normal, these guys could even achive to understand what they have in hands...

BTW the "printed book is obsolete quickly" matter doesn't exit, I've been told by the staff, during a call @ Berlin, there's no needs to upgrade anything in the pdf, nor the printed manual. At least, not until the first major rev of 9, for instance in a similar way they did with the 8.2 upgrade, I couldn't stand to work on 9 like on 8, for 3,... years, without my ref manual.

I swear I hate packages, but here, it's another story. Even Suite Book & Box v8 (and I had to buy another box I never touched until one month ago, it's already dirty).

----> SO LONG STORY SHORT : 50€ ? Abe's sick ? I know understand. Do what you want, the Pro-Tools 8 201 book is the same price and stinks and no box or DVDs "Made in Germany" as a bonus (they don't make bad stuff, germans).

End of my little egoistic (I mean long) speech : wanna read ? Save and buy the box, the book costs 50e already
