Parts of Ableton or plugins going crazy sometimes?

Post by balonny » Fri Mar 29, 2013 6:58 pm

It happened not once but few times by now.
Just today Sylenth was not working fine, and after 20 minutes it was back to normal mode..
Seems this is not limited to VSTs only, but sometimes I see meter not working with audio on,
or even stranger stuff.
Any of this happening to you too sometimes??
It means one thing for sure in my case - more coffee and some breaks..

Yes! 9.0.2 64bit Suite here on Mac 10.6.8.

Wonky Delay in Send B, double timing of tracks without me doing a thing, trouble adding clips from Finder, etc. I have only crashed once, but of course it was while I was performing a live DJ set. I'm not sure, but I suspect it's the indexing sucking up memory.

For plugs, I've had a bit of trouble with U-he Tyrell N6 and Flux' Bittersweet.

I figure Abes has got a lot going on right now, with the Push shipping debacle. I'm pretty confident that a few more releases and most will be right with the world! Live 8 wasn't stable for me until 8.2 or so. I suspect Live 9 will be similar.

My suggestion? Save every few minutes, reboot when necessary, smile a lot, and keep on making music!

I've noticed that if you start using Live menus before it has fully started (Browser showing correct data etc), this can lead to strange things like not hearing any audio when loading a live set.
