Problem with beginning of Audio Clips

Post by Danalogue » Sat Mar 30, 2013 6:26 pm

Im using L9 but also had this problem with L8

When I drag a 4/4 kick drum loop in from a sample pack, the attack of the first kick in the clip is missing.

This problem persists even if I move the loop start to the 2nd kick in the sample.

I have tried changing the Warp mode from Beats to any of the other modes but it makes no difference.

Has anyone else experienced this?

ETA: This still happens when Warp is switched off.

In Preferences there is an option to turn off the automatic fade.

When you pull in clips, the beginning will fade slightly. Apparently it is a feature. To fix it, you'll have to unclick the fade button on the clip. Also, you might have to see it in Arrangement View, look at the drop down box for automations on that audio channel. And then view the fades (or I think you can view it by right clicking the clip and choosing from the context menu). And then you will see the culprit.

Excellent! Thank you :)
