would it be possible for push to tell you if the current selected track is an Audio Track an a MIDI track.
Currently it sez only No device selected.
I'm seeing now that push was designed to have control over the Device Chians hmmm.....How bout this
For example, eight tracks and eight clips all audio no MIDI,
I'd like to be in session mode on the Push, I fire off a few clips, use the track select buttons to select the track. I like to press the device button and now be navigating the Device rack. I'd like to press the navigate arrows to a point in the device chain and press add effect and then be taken to the new browsers Audio effect where I can use Push to navigate a list of effects. Select the effect and then I can navigate the presets or folders and if I select a folder, I'd like it to enter a new list. If i made a mistake in navigation I'd like to press a button that goes back a folder, use the encoder to move quick and the buttons to fine tune the selection so forth.
Push seems like this is the intended work flow But they're just not quite there yet.
Also when an audio track is record enabled the empty slots are red. They looking like they already hold a clip especially when there is only one open clip spot in the eight by eight grid.
I seems to me that the unused Selection buttons and State control buttons could be use like the APC40 and get you the proper feedback and easy of navigation.
Thanks tons Ableton.
