5.0.1=SLOW,Clunky,BeachBall Spinning,Unexpected quits.....

Post by 4ace » Tue Jul 26, 2005 4:53 am

All words i'd use to describe the first realease.Also i'm getting LOTS of Clicks and pops during recording and playback.I tried adjust buffer size to no avail.Also repaired permissions,no go.My midi interface is being lost from time to time.I have no idea about that cause it shows up fine in audio/midi setup in utility.
I'm getting what seems to be random Unexpected Quits.When i choose save from the file menu, when i change inputs on an audio track and general things like that??==Unexpected Quit.
The Spinning beach ball pops up at almost every command.

It's pretty much in general use that i'm having trouble getting any work done at all.
i read the thread about trashing prefs. guess i'll try that.

Other than not being able to get work done,I love the program......I wish they'd bring back the beta's....they ran like a champ.Go figure :roll:

yeah, just trash the preferences. i'm pretty sure by now that it solves most of the extra slowness/crashing problems people have with 5.0.1 :wink:

Yeah,trashing the prefs. really helped out on most of the problems i beleive.
Also i trashed the beta folders completely and that seemed to help.I'm running much more stable now.
