Key/MIDI Mapping Question

I have a rack group with 12 chains. I need to be able to turn each one of them on based on a key or midi note. But I also need to be able to turn the other 11 off at the same time. Normally one of the other chains will be on when a key is pressed. Is this possible?

Are you saying that you want a particular device in your rack to play depending on the note you hit?
Or you just want to map them to turn them on and off?

There is a different set of MIDI FX connected to each chain. Only one chain should be on at a time. So when I turn on a chain with a key, I need to also turn the chain off that is currently on.

You can then map a Marco knob to chain selection.

I'm not entirely sure from memory whether you can assign multiple keys or buttons to a particular ranges in order to have it trigger a certain range.

But this can be achieved using dummy clips which can be assigned separately to switch to these. (plenty of clips on youtube on how to do this.)

You cannot assign a key to a partial chain selection.

But this can be achieved using dummy clips which can be assigned separately to switch to these. (plenty of clips on youtube on how to do this.)

However, this is a better solution anyway since the chain selection can be synced to other clips that are playing. I never did find a video showing this. However, I did figure out that there is a chain selector automation envelope. So I created separate clips for each chain selection value.
