So many ways to make chords!

There are a lot of ways to make basic triads. On top of that, you have chromatic mode, thirds layout, and the alternate orientation. All of these have their quirks, but are all fun haha.

I'm sort of comparing playing these buttons to how I would play the piano. Particularly applying chord inversions.

One interesting method of making a basic triad in scale mode I've noticed is, root, up and to the left, up and to the left again. Just a simple diagonal going northwest. If I did this in C for instance, I can do second inversion F simply by shifting the two higher ones over to the right by one. Or a first inversion G by instead shifting the two lower ones left.

Or, similarly, this time from the commonly demonstrated C button shape, you can get second inversion of F again by shifting the two buttons to the right, to the right each by one. Then hold that shape and slide all buttons one more to the right for a second inversion of G.

I know these are basic chords, but it is all just so interesting!

Also, I'm finding that in chromatic mode, I prefer 4>. Especially if I'm doing dominant chords haha

Edit: and I just tried out 3^ mode 8O
