fully customizing the sidebar in ableton 9

Post by aronf13 » Thu Apr 04, 2013 8:05 pm

I want to remove the menus on the sidebar that seem unremovable (such as packs, max for live, sounds menu, drums menu, user library menu, etc.) When I right click those items, I'm not given the option to remove from sidebar. Is there a more techy way i could remove them? Something I can delete in the Live package contents perhaps?

Same. How about complicated ways to do this; anyone?

I think this could be an option if you don't intend to use ableton content:

1.- uninstall all live included content, this way there wont be nothing to show in those categories
2.- In "My library" use the rpesets folder following the Live structure of subfolders to organize the content you create.
3.- Now your presetsa re the only ones showing in Sounds, Instruments, etc categories in the browser.

not exactly what you want but a way to turn it more usefull for you.
