How to get selected audio device to stick?

Every time I start Live 9 it asks me to go to preferences and pick an audio device. As I always use the same one (and it doesn't matter which that is) the preferences erase upon exiting Live. Is there a secret "SavePreferences" button somewhere that I'm missing? Defaulting to no output device just every time just seems silly if the one I used last is right on the list and is available.

Motu?

Negative on the Motu. Same behavior exist on an M-Audio Fast Track, NI Audio 2 and my Traktor S2. Doesn't matter. Always defaults to no device. It's on; it"s connected; It show up in the drop down box, it just doesn't save that preference. Very silly for such a simple thing (imho)

Tried trashing Live's Preferences.cfg file? (I make screenshots of my settings before doing this...)
