Free Plugins?

Post by Asher321 » Wed Apr 10, 2013 12:55 am

Are there any plugins that are free to download? Such as a simple synthesizer or effect? I've wanted to get komplete, or just massive or something, but I don't really have any money.

Try variety of sound bootsy plugs. Awesome compressors reverb and echo.
Togu audio line have some really great synths and plugs
Search on the KVR plug in data base with the filter set to free.
Molot is a great free compressor and that guy also does a limiter which is rad.
The native instrument free players are good.
Mmmm. Can't think of more now but if I do I will add.
Oh yeh there is the tyrell 6 synth too.

A lot depends on if you are on PC or Mac or are using 32 bit or 64 bit host.

For free plug-ins you would be best on a 32 bit PC.

Macs have free plug-ins as well but no where near as much as on a PC.

I'd recommend:

synth 1 (Nord lead emulation)
Superwave P8 (JP8000 emulation)
Crystal (Absynth like synth)
SFZ (Soundfont player)

Many commercial synth makers and plug-in makers also do free plug-ins as well and some are pretty good. Get the NI player stuff.

Check out Music Radars top free plug-ins list to get a more comprehensive view of whats out there.

just use kvr database, walla

http://www.kvraudio.com/q.php?search=1& ... ]=f&sh[]=s

All osx/osx64, free, software isntrument plugins

of course if windows is wanted just change search criteria, you wont find a bigger db anywhere else

-edit
just realized that wasnt the op asking for mac only plugins, so for windows here you go

http://www.kvraudio.com/q.php?search=1& ... ]=f&sh[]=s

Also you'll have to copy pasta the links since the forum breaks them
