There will obviously be a book eventually... probably Live 5 Power.

I was also thinking about this. I may order the box from Ableton to get the manual, but would waiting for Live 5 Power be better? Kind of giving more power user tips than duplicating what I already have in PDF form?

I got word from the source last week that it'll be out in September or October. So, if you wanna get going asap with getting up to speed with 5, you may wanna consider buying the box version or printing off the manual, which costs roughly $20 at kinko's.

Isn't it included with the demo ? You could just download it and see...

Yeah I have the demo at home, I will check if it came with the manual, I'm not sure. I need the full version, the demo was a HUGE tease! ha.

i don't know if Live 5 Power! will be made for sure (i would imagine it would be), but i can say for sure, from speaking with an editor from Course PTR @ NAMM, that the Live 5 CSi Maste will indeed be made.

Actually, the author of Live 4 Power is currently writing the Live 5 book. So, coming soon...

Incidentally, I wrote the Live 4 CSi Master and it was a nightmare to do, so I will NOT be doing the Live 5 version (but I am sure they got someone else to do it.)

The deadlines for each chapter were too tight; didn't have a beta by the time I was supposed to start turning in the first few chapters; and by the time I was supposed to do the screen captures and voice-overs, my computer died on me! So I had to hand over that part of the project to my co-worker (thus the dual authorship on the credits.)

And it was just hard to write a full interactive "book" in only a few weeks while working a fulltime day job... just wasn't as smooth as I hoped it would be, but it was a learning experience.
