Midi plug-ins /Step sequencer

I might have missid something important, but isn't it possible to open 3rd party Midi plug-ins in Live 5? Is there a step sequencer available somewhere?

or look up 'stepchild vst' or 'stepbeater vst' on google or kvr.com. i havent' checked with live 5.01, but the step sequencing doesn't seem to work quite right in live. i've tried it with stepchild, stepbeater and a 32 stepper i modified in reaktor and the midi note offs don't seem to get sent/recognised when you change the sequence for some reason. i'd love to get em working!

the one you build yerself in live works fine though.

It's the swiss army knife of hosts that can run in live as a vsti.

One of its features is an arpeggiator that is actually a transposable step sequencer that can trigger vst instruments inside of energyXT.

Brainray,

1. Yes, you can open any VST (available for your plattform) in Live 5 und back in 4. What you cannot do, however, ist to open a VST for Windoows on a Mac and vice versa, but this should be no issue.

2. Step sequencer: have you tried to "abuse" a Live clip as step sequencer? Especially in combination with Action (after X bars, go to next or play something random etc.) you have already a powerful step seq machine.
