Alternate Note mode with drum rack

Hi,

I am not sure if I just saw a bug or a "hidden" feature.

When using a drum rack in Note mode I got into a state where the Note button was blinking and the pads of the drum rack were playing a single assigned sample but at different pitches rather than the assigned single pitch. Pressing Note again reverted it to the normal single pitch per pad behaviour.

I can not recall how I ended up in that state.

Can anyone tell me how I did that and if it is a feature or bug? It was quite useful for previewing the pitch to set the pad at.

The real question is whether you could record those different pitches into the step sequencer. Unlikely, but... breakcore!!!
