Most of you must be incredibly disappointed.

The Tea Party Bomber

That does sound sensational.

I'm still not reading or watching tv about it, but did these shit-balls have a protest or affiliation? Maybe it was a Borsht Party redneck.

some insight on Chechen causes

http://www.alternet.org/what-you-need-k ... g-suspects
Finally, given their lengthy residence it is difficult to discern what — if any — ties or sympathies the two brothers have to Chechen terrorist groups. The older of the brothers — Tamerlan Tsarnaev — has been in the United States since as early as 1992 as a refugee and in 2002 hoped to box for the United States at the Salt Lake City Olympics

^ yeah it is. it's inconceivable on so many levels. i hope they take the younger brother alive. some kind of answers would nice to have so that we can hopefully get a glimpse of the method to the madness. as it stands it's completely senseless... could have a been a hockey game or an Oakland Raiders tailgate party with fireworks.

Last night, the internet was wrongly accusing a missing Indian American student and some other "foreign" sounding name as the bombing suspects.

That's after the NY Post had put a photo of two runners of middle eastern origin on their front page wrongly suggesting they were the suspects.

I agree. The photos of the Blackwater dudes kinda freaks me out. They look somewhat uniformed which is really weird for just two regular guys going to a marathon. Normal folks at the event said there were bomb spotters and sniffer dogs en masse so it seems likely a lot of information isn't coming to light.

That's the big reason why i stay out of these 'news' events now. And tv news are as bad as the blog douches. Best to ignore the initial noise spike for a week or more, then digest facts if you want to. Done and out.

Their dad is saying they were set up and that "all hell will break loose" if the second one dies. What's being reported about the two suspects:

"The older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, is described as an outgoing person who was a champion boxer, a "decent" pianist, drove a Mercedes and liked the movie "Borat." But in captions on an undated boxing photo album operated by photographer Johannes Hirn, Tamerlan Tsarnaev said, "I don't have a single American friend, I don't understand them."

He also told the photographer he was a "very religious" Muslim boxer who did not smoke or drink. One caption said he usually did not take his shirt off so girls wouldn't get bad ideas.

"There are no values anymore," he said, and worried that "people can't control themselves."

" The younger brother, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, is now described as willing to die in a battle with police, but he was better known for taking acting classes, advanced placement courses and being a star athlete with lots of friends in high school.

"He never seemed out of the ordinary at all," high school classmate Sierra Schwartz told "Good Morning America" today. "This is not someone who seemed troubled in high school or shy. He was just one of us. It's very weird."

Steven Owens told ABC News, "I met him when I was in seventh grade and he was just a great kid. He was fun to be around. Very studious, very smart. I don't remember a time when he was ever having trouble in school. He was a great athlete. Great to be around."

Owens said Tsarnaev "always had a positive attitude," but had expressed some political opinions in school.

"He always thought the war [Iraq, Afghanistan] was stupid," Owens said. "He didn't enjoy the idea of war. We didn't really talk about it much. The only time it ever really came up was when we were learning about it in school."

even if no 'why' can possibly be justified, i do hope they find out motive before the guy gets riddled or blows himself up

hopefully they left a note or manifesto somewhere, cuz i dont expect any scenario where the kid lives through this.

Hmm. The spirit of the thing is correct and really the two sides would be interchangeable in this example. :P

Really? You want these guys to get chance to spread their wisdom to the world? It's not as if anything they say could justify what they did or somehow lead to the world being a better place.

I hope he lives though. For some reason I'm not sure of.

Well, yeah, I thought about the spirit first, then laughed at myself for the ridiculous comparison.

It’s probably something as generic and played out as the decay of American culture and morals, and I sometimes get the impression it’s not so much lashing out at it as just an observer but more as an inner battle fighting the urge to participate in it.
