Browser Favorites
If we're already indexing samples, it would be nice to be able to right click anything in the browser and hit "Add to Favorites"...A Favorite location could be added in the sidebar. This would make it much easier for those of us with huge libraries to organize within Live.
Caaaahm on, common sense!

Why not make a new folder in Places and drop your selections there?

Well, that means creating a new folder on your HD, adding it to Places and then essentially copy/pasting stuff from their original location to that new Folder. If there is already an indexing feature in the browser there shouldn't be a need for that. I like to keep my Sample folder structure and hierarchy intact, so I can always see where my stuff came from. In the big scheme of things it's not important, but the lack of attention to detail really annoys me.

Re: Browser Favorites
Browser should use Tags on its files, that way you can easily apply the Tag "favorites" or "CheckMeLater" or whatever to any sample/clip/presset/etc. and avoid making unnecessary folders/copies etc.
It sucks when you have a bass that is analog and at the same time is hard and at the same time is a favorite. Then you have to create complex folders structures that makes harder to search to, and generates duplicated files.

Yes, exactly...such a common sense thing to implement AFAIC.gustavo bravetti wrote:Browser should use Tags on its files, that way you can easily apply the Tag "favorites" or "CheckMeLater" or whatever to any sample/clip/presset/etc. and avoid making unnecessary folders/copies etc.
