Virus /Live 5

I´m so angry.

You buy Live 4, you buy 5.... yyyyeees Live 5 and the Powercore Virus runs now..... shit runs.

My Powercore (Element) Virus runs only when you play the Keyborad, when an Arpp. runs over a long distance in the arrange, the virus runs more an more out of time. When the loop starts it´s fine for 16 Beats, then the same shit as before.

I think an hope that this problem may be fixed in the next time.

Or is it better to change to SX??!

Can you please calm down and try to explain your problems a little more clearly? I know the Virus inside and out, and if I can help, more than happy to. I have no idea what you're saying though.

Ok my english ist to perfect

Ok, my Song ist 136 bpm fast.l I have a normal Kickdrum, Bassand the Atmosphere from Spectrasonics in my Arrange, furthre a very good Leadsound.
The Virus plays the Bass and the Leadsound (DSP 1 BAss /DSP 2 Lead).
The Song is not ready, so the songs runs in the Arrange in a loop.
When you start the Sequencer in the Session (Not clip) the Leadsound and the Bass runs out of sync. The second round than is ok.
Than i have a sample from the Bass, that only the leadsound play live from the virus.
When you choos a very long loop, the leadsound runs so extremly out of sync that you can´t hear the result (horror).

I have a Powercore Element (1.9.5) and the New Virus (1.1) an the latest Version of Live (5.0.1). My Soundcard is a RME 9632.
I hope you can help me, because live is sooo coool.

not to be rude but have u checked that your solo is pefectly looped. what i mean
have u checked the length in clipå wiew is exactly 16 bars and not 16.0.1 for
example. this happens some time u know

Ok, when you say the lead sound runs out of time, what do you mean?
Are you using an arp and that gets out of sync?
Are you using delays and those get out of sync?
Is the midi itself getting out of sync?

Yes i meand an arppegiator.
Ok, i have a loop from 5 - 13 ( 8 measure) in the loop it works very fine, but when you play the loop from 5- 21 (16 measure) the arp runs at the point of 13 out of sync, and the first note from the beginning of the loop hang up, you can hear a leadsound instead a arp.

Hmmm, let me think about this one a bit...

Have you tried setting the Patch tempo to the same tempo as your Live song?

I have endless problems with the powercore virus as well and at this point
i just recomend using the arp. that comes in live5 in stead of the one in
the virus. That is what I have been doing and things work
alot better now for me. If you are not happy with the Powercore Virus and
all its buggs please come to http://powercore.noheaven.com/viewforum.php?f=1 and let TC electric know it.

i have re-installed the virus, have download a new Version, the crackles are away.. I think Tc/and Ableton is on the right way

After reading your post I thought I would try out the 1.1 version with 5 to see if there was any improvment over its proformance with live4 and there was! I CAN now get my 5 notes at 88.2khz! This may be laughable to some and it is pretty sad when running padds but at least now I can use it in projecst that i run at higher sampling rates. The menues seem to be working ok as well. I was very supprised to be honest. I am not sure about the arp timing yet but time will tell.
