Vocoding Setups
Vocoding Setups
Alright, so the other post wasn't getting the responses I was looking for so hear is a new question.
What is everybody using for vocoding? I mean real vocoding playing chords and melodies, not having one chords play the whole time off the internal synth.
Just curious
I'm looking to get really good clarity in the sound because I want to sing all the lyrics through the vocoder and it's a fairly complex line.
Any suggestions are greatly welcome

I own NI's Vocoder, you can play different chords and melodies on it. I havent really messed with it yet. It sounds amazing though.

I have the microKorg. It has a built in mic and several decent Voco presets that are totally tweekable. I think it cost me around $300.00. It's got some good depth and also provides that standard Voco cheese factor. It's also a really decent synth for the money.

popsicko, i would love to hear what im doing with vokator too, lol. I bought Komplete 2 4 months ago, and Ive only messed with it a few times. Im trying to really get loco with abysnth 3 first. Im obsessed with that synth. Mostly everything Ive been doing lately is just that and battery 2. One day though I will conqueor vokator. Id love to hear anything you've made.

The plug in Orange vocoder was pretty sweet. I believe BT and Daft punk were using it years ago...
Sometimes I use kantos which kinda a super vocoder of sorts, the sound always sounds a tad blury to me though...

I get some wicked results using Reason's vocoder with the malstrom. Especially using the zerolizer patch on the malstrom.
