Live 5 tripping out on VSTs that work fine in Live 4

Live 5 is not finding, spitting out error messages, or just crashing when I try to load certain VSTs that have always been (and still are) functional in Live 4.

Surely I'm not the only one to have experienced this. Any suggestions?
And, yes, I've deleted my preferences : )

Since upgrading to live 5 my sets which use waves 4 plugins crash when loading.
I can use them fine in live 4.
This is a big problem.

Am gettingsimilar behavior. Won't load half of my UAD plugs, hydratone and valvetone are buggy and make live pop when playback starts, Prosoniq PiqWarp isn't seen. Has this 3rd party plug problem been addressed or acknowledged, anyone know?

So far when I contacted ableton about the problem they said to take the plugin out of my folder and my set would load, which it did. Thats not much help though and doesnt solve the problem... on version 4 there was never a problem so I hope they can fix it and the other stability/crash issues soon or I am going to be without alot of plugins.

I am also getting that popping at start on some instruments as well..

If you got a track with most Waves AU plug-ins in Mac OS X the song doesn't load.

The only Waves AU plugins in Mac OSX that work on Live 5.01:

REQ6
Q10
C1
C4

And all Waves VST plugins open a big white window when loaded.

All Spectrasonics plugins make the CPU counter go to 0% and you can't play anymore.

I love autowarp and all the new features but Ableton has to fix this asap.

Everything worked fine on Live 4.1.4.
