Delay Compensation Option Problem

Post by idletide » Tue May 14, 2013 6:31 am

Hi all!

I just upgraded to live 9 and I have found that I am having a problem with the delay compensation option. When it is activated the samples I am using (primarily drum loop samples) Line up well in the mix but I find that there is quite a bit of latency with my midi (both when I use my keyboard and when I look at the programmed midi notes the sound comes half a beat after the note has come up). When I turn delay compensation off midi works perfectly but the samples are totally out of alignment with the rest of the mix. Any idea what is going on here and how to fix it?

Your help is very much appreciated!

Windows 7, just my native directx sound card on my laptop using asio4all. I don't know what else you would need. Just let me know, really strange stuff!

it's normal because your midi track is delayed to align with other track which has longest latency.

So I just have to deal with it? There is no way to reconcile the two together? I don't remember having this problem in live 8 (but I'm not absolutely sure)
