"Live 5.0.1 is pretty stable for me... specifically... i haven't had a single crash since the final release and i've used it every day over the last week, including a 5 hour gig on Monday."
I don't think I've read a higher praise of Live 5 than this comment. A five hour gig is a good test. I would like to know what functions were in operation durring that gig. This guy uses a Mac power book... I don't want to be the one to ask all the right questions but, asking the right questions and getting the most insightfull answers does allow good decisions to be made about what products to purchase in the future. If the Mac users are experiencing fewer system crashes we as PC users should be aware of this. How else are we going to know Live's weak points (relative to PC compatability) if we don't expose this here. The problems may only be taking place on the PC systems having specific mother boards. If we can determine the ones who don't function well with Live 5 this would be a good thing to trouble shoot. We as a group (committee of users) should all come together and try to answer this question ourselves.
