Anyone tried both a firewire audio interface and an echo card?
I love my MOTU 828 but it is sucking too much cpu off the top for my live performances. However, playing off the built in sound card sounds awfull. I'm thinking of getting an echo indigo dj for the stage and keeping my 828 for recording at home.
Has anyone compared the cpu usage of these devices??

My MOTU 828 is between 0 and 1% worse than my Echo Indigo DJ.
Not enough to notice...

I have an echo mia and an echo Audiofire8 (echo's new firewire interface). They use exactly (or too close for me to see a difference) the same cpu on my desktop. I also tried a Presonus Firebox, it seemed to use more cpu than the mia/audiofire8.
