Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
this is happening not only with sample tank plug-ins
Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
Like i said it is not related to VSTi's its someting in Live9. I am ujsing same VSTi, all the time, i had Cubase, FL Studio, landed on Live 8, all three never had any problems whatsoever. Live 9 "onstage" issue is nightmare for me.
Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
Hi All,
The HandlestageOne is a generic crash message that isn't related to one specific problem. So far we have seen the screenprint and crash when:
- Installing packs and clicking in the browser pane.
- When Using bridged (or just genrally problematic VSTs)
- When recalling sets using the MIDI LFO.
We have adressed 2 of the crashes in the 9.0.5b1 beta and we are still working on the last entries to get this crash.
As mentioned - the HandleStageone does not have one root cause, so when you see this generic crash message, please send the crashpack to [email protected] and accompany the mail with a description of what you did prior to the crash and how to reproduce it. At best, CC [email protected]
Best,
Mads

Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
To Mads: Thanks a lot for your support, Mads!
1/ Clicking in the browser field that's just my case. Now I can confirm that it has always preceeded this HandlerHandle message
and is not exact VST related.
I guess it's one of those bugs already fixed so I'm on my way to install 9.0.5b
2/ Another thing that I've noticed several times - pushing scene/clip launch from my APC40
several times preceded the crash/Handler message.
Thanks once more for prompt replies.

Big ups for some communication Mads !!
Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
My update: no crashes for almost 3 weeks now!
Background: was having chronic crashes in both live 8 & 9 (which showed the HandleStageOne crash message). I suspected that the IK Sampletank was somehow causing instability as well.
My solution: switched to live 9 64 bit AND updated my motherboard bios to the newest full release version.
Not one crash since.

Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
got it with on Ableton 904_32 with latest Zebra2 tweaking some automation - 2 times.
all started as i deinstalled my Virtual Studio 2012 Ultimate component by component.
its frustrating ...
and 9.0.2_32 crashes instantly now after choosing the audio driver.
will try to install VS2012 Ultimate again and see if its working again.
my error pic: http://i.imgur.com/jqROePW.png
EDIT: found the problem - was Zebra 2.6 beta - upgraded tot he final version and it was working. ableton runs now stable for 45 mins.
EDIT2: again crash after 70 mins - opening an impulse into an instrument rack and buff the same Exception Error. lost 30 mins of drum processing #notfunny!
EDIT3: even after totally new install and deleting of all Ableton settings from the OS and also registry/temp folder clean the error still comes up.
i just want to some music - but its impossible

Re: Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne crash... LOTS of them
For anyone who is getting this annoying Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne error, here is a little solution that might help some of ye people.
If you are the person that is using a bridging program i.e jbridge or what ever it is that you are using. When the error comes up, go back to your bridging program and re-bridge all the files back into the destination 64bit folder that you have linked to Ableton. Mine is C/Documents/Plugins 64. For me it was NI Massive that could not be located and was causing my system to crash, also Absynth. But when I re-bridged them both they worked fine.. So even if you are not using a bridging program and are getting this error I recommend d/w jbridge from filecrop.com and get bridging.. Plenty of helpful videos on youtube to explain how to bridge for anyone confused. Hope this helps. Also, save on the regular with 2 files as a back up.

Or you could go here http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridge/ instead of going for a cracked copy.Leakyeyez wrote:For anyone who is getting this annoying Ableton 9.0.2 - HandleStageOne error, here is a little solution that might help some of ye people.
