Any good audio interfaces with Live????
Any good audio interfaces with Live????
Hi All,
What kind of audio interfaces will work best using multitrsck outputs, together with Live 4 or 5 and a mac?
is that M-Audio Digidesign or Motu? (or other interface)
Anyone?
Any hints/suggestions?
Cheers
Koen

All the Motu interfaces work great--I'm really diggin' the traveler. They're all able to get really low latency, and sound dope.
You really can't go wrong with any AI these days, if it has good drivers. They'll all do the trick, but rme, motu, and some of the m-audio joints seem to be the units most cats around here prefer.

I got a chance to meet the presonus cats last week at NAMM. I was impressed by their knowledge--so much so that I went out and got a Eureka mic pre to try out at my showcase. That junk was the bomb, and is now a permanent fixture in both my live and studio vocal chain. My buddy that works at sam ash has been telling me for months that I really should check out the presonus AI's and mic pre's. He thinks that they're one company that has their junk together!nebulae wrote:Also, look at Presonus Firewire options - they have great converters and drivers.
If I was in the market for an AI right now, I'd mos def give them a try. They have a sweet unit called the firebox that's perfect for me to rock live, as it's really small and is bus powered!
anyway, fwiw.
