I'm hoping some highly inspired technologist on here has a way to use the MadCatz Rock Band wireless keyboard as a wireless MIDI controller? I know the controller has a MIDI out port, but I'm looking for a program that will receive whatever messages the PS3 controller puts out for the game and to be able to translate them to MIDI for use in Ableton. I imagine there must be a way to accomplish this using Max for Live. I found http://miditarhero.wordpress.com/ which recognizes the X,O, triangle, and square buttons as well as the select, PS button, and start button. D pad doesn't appear to work, nor do the modulation strip or the keys themselves.
BTW, I am using a PC, fwiw.
SO, if anyone knows of a program that would accomplish this I would be grateful. I imagine with all the technology out there that this must be possible. Or if someone wants to point me in a direction to determine what signals the thing is putting out I would take that too.
Thanks for any and all help!
