"Midi Guitar" program beginner question

Post by steger » Sun Jun 23, 2013 6:06 pm

This program seems awesome. I'm decent guitar player and an awful keyboard player.

My Ableton Live question is:
I'd like to be able to hear and jam listening ONLY to the midi track that contains the keyboard sound - AND NOT hearing the guitar at the same time. How do I turn the guitar mnonitor sound off completely?

I'm totally new to DAWs so please bear with the dumb questions :P

(I only want to hear the midi track - and NOT the audio track.)

You've already done it. The yellow 1 (which is turned off in your picture) is the track on/off button.

Or you could just solo the MIDI track. It's the square w/ the s in it.

Or you could turn down the volume of track 1.

Also, maybe un-arm track 1
