PROOF :?:

I was just kidding.

I can understand that crashing daws are the delirium tremens for any pro producer. I'm just a dilettant.

If cars would crash as much as computers did, they wouldnt sell any of them.

Wish you succes. Sincerely.

Cheers mate.

And of course i'm asking a lot and that i appear a decenter. There are numbers here that can change some things is all.
I'm a protester, i've been arrested for it. Funny thing is, "everybody" would enjoy the outcome if it were possible.

Sooo, the latest rantings are my last salvo at ableton. I regret using the term fanboy. It didn't serve the argument well.
I do know that lots of users get it, and that lots of users don't. If that distinction pisses off some users, there ya go

I didnt read any of your rantings and I aint a fanboy either. I got several daws and they all sucked.

If I were your boss I would give you the (rightwing) answer:"Hey listen Kranky, I dont care if it is the daw or the plug-in or the os, I want my product next week tuesday on my desk"

But you probably know better than me where I am coming from.

^ I don't know about that, but you're a reasonable user that gets it imo.

I need to note this distinction: I'm a lite Live user. I'm here to learn Live and music.
I'm not interested in promoting my production advice, which is commonplace and a google search anyway.

^ Unreasonable Ableton Borg.

It's like this, if you didn't use Live, the argument is still there. Glad you're utterly satisfied.

And It's not that I'm unclear, it's that you are profoundly argumentative. No need to apologize either. wtf

Assuming you meant "dissenter" and not just some slang to say you are a decent bloke.. ;-) can you sum up in one sentence what this outcome is? To be honest, even after skimming through that whole thread, it was mainly for fun just to see what the drama was all about, but it was mostly you and LM writing mountains of TL;DR bollox attacking each other, so I still have no idea what you were actually complaining about.

Am I picking at an open wound asking this? You did say you want "power users" to get behind it, so it might help id we knew what "it" was. :P

well thats the thing, he didn't really have anything to say. he just sort of gave simpli.ciss a plus one, and then said his usual spiel about ableton being run by shadowy investors and bankers that are catering to "fanboys." Then a lot of non specific "live isn't pro" kind of talk. a lot of name calling and dismissal of other users as amateurs. pretty much the same thing he's been on for ever.

and when i told him all that was bullshit, he claimed that "fanboys" like me were ruining the forum and preventing live from being improved. Apparently he believes that saying a bunch of non specific negative stuff about live on the forum will make the ableton bankers wake up and fix the software.

Y'know, i'm sorry, but that attitude just annoys me, and i'm so fucking tired of it. It's the reason I hardly ever come to this forum anymore. This used to be one of the absolute best places to exchange information about live and music (and especially electronic music) in general. Now it's a fucking pit of despair.

I honestly don't get why you're so wound up about it

I mean, like I said you both wrote far too much for anyone else not involved to read, so I probably missed most of it, but I don't get any real bad vibe off this forum any more really.

you don't understand why i don't enjoy being insulted and being called names? You don't understand how it might be frustrating to read the same meaningless and non specific complaints over and over again? You don't get what's annoying about this never ending fantasy that there is some battle between "pro's and power users" like KK and "Fanboy plinkers" over the fate of live? it's fucking stupid. And its the mentality that when you don't like something about the software, or you don't get the exact features that you wanted in the current release, the answer is to just talk shit. For fucks sake, if you have a problem, articulate what the problem is. Other users might have a solution for your problem, or maybe attention is brought to the problem. I agree with that. I believe in that. I just don't see the point in non specifically slagging off the program, developers, company and other users. I don't see how that helps anyone.
