Hi All,
I hate to be posting this, i've been searching, and watching youtube tutorials about this for some time now, but haven't figured out this exact issue. I have a footswitch (BOSS FS-5L) and i'm using the Looper audio effect. Based on the tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0J7-FrMIBE i should be able to map the midi to my footswitch (which i've done and that's working) the problem is, when i stomp to record, i have to stomp it twice to start the loop, and then stomp it twice to stop the loop (or go into overdub mode). I have another footswitch also (a Fender footswitch) that does the exact same thing. With that youtube tutorial that i posted, i can see the guy only stomps it once to start the recording, and then stomps once to stop it. Is there something I'm doing wrong or perhaps this footswitch isn't the right one? Can someone help me out with this one?

Re: Live 8 with Looper Audio Effect
In case anyone ran into this issue, my problem is that I had a latching foot switch which basically has an A and B trigger. Pressing once would put you in A mode, and pressing again will put you in B mode. That was the reason for having to double stomp the switch. Using a non latching foot switch basically performs mode A when pressed, and then mode B when released so every time you stomp, it's triggering mode A (which is exactly what i needed). I got the BOSS FS-5U but any non latching switch should do the trick. Hopefully this response will shed some light if anyone ever runs into this.
