I agree it probably won't do enough, but switching to solar would be infinitely better than carrying on with coal power. My point is the previous Qld state govt. did take steps to encourage that, despite having the big mining people to deal with, then the LNP got in and completely trashed it.krulecello wrote:[

LNP governments will keep us on the course of doing nothing at all. At least at the moment we have the greens in as well which forced Gillard to go back on her promise about the carbon tax..
The point is DEFINITELY nothing will change if LNP win, and as you pointed out we spew out a lot of carbon here per capita.
People are slowly beginning to face it. Even though it's slow, we can't afford to go completely backwards.
I'm not advocating Labor either really, I'll probably vote green, but at least their preferences don't go to LNP. My argument is all about keeping them OUT not about voting Labor in.
