Fuzzy crackles

Fuzzy crackles I get sometimes when using either my firewire 410 or my imic ? i never get it if i am just using the built in sound. With the firewire 410 I would get around it by changing the sample rate and then back again in the live preferences and it would disapear, but then sometimes it is there but you can only just here it so it makes me wonder is it effecting the audio quality sometimes and i cant easily notice it ? Sometimes I am thinking this just doesn't sound right ? The imic also and I couldnt make it go away last nite coz i cant change the sample rate with the imic as i have it set up as an aggregate device in the osx audio/midi utility. Played around with the buffers but that didnt seem to help.

I think i have isolated the problem to be within the machine not the program as it seems to only occur within the aggregate device (imic in this case) I have set up in osx's audio / midi prefs.
