How to sync SR18 Drum Machine to Live

I have two Alesis drum machines, the SR16 and SR18.
Can Live trigger (through midi) the sounds and patterns I've created in either them? I want the patterns for the intro, verse, chorus, etc in the drum machines to sync with the clips I've created in Live. Can you tell me how to do this?
Could I use a foot controller to trigger specific clips with the correct drum patterns in the drum machines?
