Memory Problem

Post by geddy » Thu Jul 11, 2013 7:11 pm

Hello,
My Live always crashes quite frequently due to lack of memory. I currently have 15GB of memory installed but I am only using the 32bit version of Live. Is there any way to take precautions to stop this from happening or will I have to upgrade to 64bit?

When using Waves plug-ins this appears to steal it all as well.

Thanks in advance!
Thank You,
geddy

Live 32 won't be able to handle after around 3.5 gigs of ram so you'd have to use 64 to get past that.
It won't guarantee the crashes will stop, but in my testing it didn't crash when it came to memory.

Okay thanks. I am a bit reluctant to change over due to plug-ins etc.
Thank You,

Same here. Disappointed that they're shrugging off making their own brdge, but then again, seeing as how unstable things have been lately...
