Arturia Analog Laboratory slowing down CPU
I am trying to use multiple Arturia Lab soft synths and when I get to 3 or 4 at a time my macbook pro massively slows down to the point of not being able to continue.
I have 8 gig RAM and a 2.4 GHz Core duo chip, still have plenty of room on my hardrive, seems lto me like it should be enough?
Is this a common problem?
Is there anything I can do to alleviate this issue?
Thanks for your help!

Try freezing the tracks. Arturia synths and drum machines eat up CPU in general and I have a quad core i7 and probably get the spike like that too. Has using live 8 lessened your CPU impact.

Freezing tracks works pretty good but I use a lot of compression and other effects to get sounds I want early in the writing process and can't freeze with those effects on.
I'm using 9 and am a new user, never used 8.
Thanks for feedback

Hi there. Sorry to hijack your thread, but I'm wondering if you've managed to get Analog Lab / Laboratory working well in Live?
I'm struggling to get the preset selection working and I can't assign the transport controls to Live or any other the other knobs and faders.
Got any tips?
Re: Memory - it definitely seems to gobble up memory. 1 instance is using about 15 > 35% depending on what I do.

I was having similar issues, I downloaded the latest update from Arturia website and it worked better plus they had two new keyboard patches.
Still crashes Ableton from time time.

I tried the latest version but still can't select presets and it crashes more often than I'd like.
Gutted. Thanks for the heads up though.

Im getting this problem also!
Im wondering if its better to save a patch and open it in Analog Lab?
Ive emailed Arturia to see if there is a way of cutting down how much CPU their synths use.
How are you getting on with this?

I returned mine, wasn't stable enough / working well enough for my liking.
Shame as it has huge potential.

Re: Arturia Analog Laboratory slowing down CPU
I tried the demo of Analog Lab and was somewhat disappointed. As analog emulations Analog Lab uses considerably more CPU and generally sounds less interesting than either the Gforce or Korg Legacy synths.
