Reaching people is getting people to understand and agree with what you are saying. I can understand if you have no experience with that of course.

There are other meanings for the word reaching. Nowadays reaching has become a horrible corporate word meaning when a customer contacts a company.

For instance if I write to Apple and say 'you are a bunch of bastards' (which I do regularly), they won't reply, but if they did, they would probably write 'thanks for reaching'. The word reaching meaning 'writing to us, not, you cunt'.
