drez, do you have a picture after the edit. It's hard to believe that some units are that severe. Maybe if some of the unfortunate see enough before and afters, they may decide to hold off on returning it. It may be a long shot but Ableton can not afford not to address this. I think they will, probably with a user color selector within the software. It's a hard decision to make in returning Push. It truly is an incredible instrument/controller in Live.

I for one believe they will do the right thing.

Lyovino, I'm on the road away from home but I'll snap a pic and post it in the morning. It definitely looks better with a darker scheme. I've been on the fence about it and still haven't fully committed to keeping it, but it looks a ton better with darker colors. Like most folks that use it, I want to keep it because the workflow is wonderful, I'm just struggling with the message it sends to Ableton about what is tolerable for a $600 piece of hardware if I keep it.

Definitely a tough call for me.

From what I've seen being done with the updated script (thanks for your efforts) and 9.0.5 I'm very impressed and would be satisfied to the point of keeping it. I truly think Ableton is going to add this to Live. If they don't address it somehow, they will continuously be bombarded with support. Also it will hurt future sales. They don't need a bad reputation for LEDS on a great device. There's nothing out there that marries with Live as it does.

Other than the LED flaws, Push is amazing and it can only go up from here.
JMO, .. if your edited version looks good I would keep it, rather than waiting or doing without.

Here is my Push with edited colors. I picked colors I like, and not necessarily the colors that show the variation the least. The variations are still obvious, but not as glaring. I'm not happy with it, but not as unhappy.

Much improvement from the before pic. You eliminated a few Hues, which make it much less distracting.
You have to look at it like this, all edited Push scripts are unique .

I had a work emergency this morning and had to bolt out of the house, so I didn't get to take pic's of my new color scheme, but it looks much like deva's. I actually like deva's color scheme a bit better at first blush, so I might give that one a shot.

I would like to agree with those that are looking past the hue discrepancies in that Push is absolutely wonderful to use. I enjoy using it and the work flow works for me. With the color changes that I've made, I definitely don't notice it as much when i'm playing notes. But that's not necessarily the struggle. The struggle is whether I'm OK with spending the money on something that "should", IMO, be uniform.

I totally understand about perfection and it is a matter of principle also. My first Push had to be returned because the buttons were peeling. I also had variances of pinks/purples which bothered me. My new Push has two or three very faint pink and two very faint green gray pads. I refuse to return it because I may get something worse back. After working with Push for a few sessions you get in the flow with it and yes, it is a very hard decision to send it back. It's kind of a bitter sweet moment… sucks!

I don't care about perfection. I understand that there is going to be some variation no matter what. But looking at all the Ableton promo videos/photos, not a one of them has anything close to the variations some of us are seeing. I am sure I would be fine with the new one you received which sounds like it is similar to the ones Ableton uses for promotion.
