I'm looking for a plugin that will take an input signal of audio and read the pitch or note. Is there something like that out there? Maybe someone knows how to program something like that.
Reason being, I think it would be useful in making instruments from samples and being able to play along with standard midi instruments without wasting a lot of time guessing what key or scale the original sample is in.
