Need a hand with automation

Post by AKROC » Sat Jul 27, 2013 6:18 am

Why is it that in L9 when creating automation, if i move a node it also moves the adjacent node along with it, I hate that, can i turn that off!???
I want it to work like it did in 8, click a node and that node and it alone moves!
Thanks!

It is nicely explained in the manual
Clicking and dragging in the envelope’s background defines a selection. Here is what you can do:

Click at a position on a line segment to create a new breakpoint there.
Click on a breakpoint to delete it.
Click and drag a breakpoint to move it to the desired location. If the breakpoint you are dragging is in the current selection, all other breakpoints in the selection will follow the movement.

So what is happening in your case is that you are selecting a whole line segment instead of just the breakpoint (on my colour scheme, it changes from red to blue). Just move the pointer until just the breakpoint itself is selected. Clicking exactly on the node is enough to achieve that. I think you will find that what you are doing to select the whole line (your breakpoint and the adjacent one) may be that you are clicking just next to the break point and not on it.

Play around with it for a moment or two and you will see the new behaviour
