Changing the Velocity/Sensitivity

Hey there...

So Im new to Ableton Live 9 and Ableton Push. Fresh out of the box I hooked up Push yesterday and started tinkering. First thing I wanted to do was change the settings for the pads. I read the forums and watched the video on the ableton site. It seemed quite simple. Hold down the User button and viola it should go into edit mode per say. When I perform this simple step all lights turn off regarding the pads, the display turns off, and the only button that stays lit is the User Button. Anyone have any advice what I am doing wrong...any assistance would be appreciated.

so you keep holding USER button down without releasing it and it still goes into USER mode?

if so, something is wrong with that unit

That is what I thought. I dont seem to have the best luck..waited 4 months for the product to finally appear! Thank you for your feedback though.
