tuning drums

Post by alwayzambitious » Sun Jul 28, 2013 6:40 pm

can someone give me a direction on how to tell what the key of a drum sample is so i can change it to fit with my melodic sample. i know i can change the pitch by transposing but it would help to know what key its in

For example logic pro x has a feature where it can detect the key of a sample and allow the user to change it…its the new melodyne like features and i m sure ableton has a way to do this just wanted some direction on how

throw a spectrum on the drum channel and see where the highest most prominent peak the analyzer spits out. move your mouse over the peak and on the left bottom corner it should tell you the key of the sample
