Is it possible to use a Push and MIDI keyboard at the same time? I assume so, but it's been crazy so far...
I am using a Novation 49SL MkII. When I try using both, the keyboard triggers notes on the Push (lighting up the pads), and part of the MIDI (e.g., one octave) does not work at all.
I have two channels designated to the two different MIDI inputs, but no luck.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Re: Push & MIDI Keyboard
Yes...
Do you want to have each controller play a different midi track? Then on each track select midi in to be from the specific controller.
If you want both to play the same track, then leave midi in at the default of All Ins and both will work together

Re: Push & MIDI Keyboard
Yeah, that's what I doing, but when I do...
1) It works for the most part.
2) Some notes on the keyboard do not trigger any sounds.
3) Some notes trigger the green lights (but no sounds) on the Push.

On #2 - you play a note on the keyboard but do not get a sound... Is Live receiving midi when you play that note? What sound are you triggering? A synth?
Re: Push & MIDI Keyboard
Yeah, there appears to be MIDI data.
Yeah, it's a synth.
Thanks for helping!

Re: Push & MIDI Keyboard
Try this test, select Novation as the midi in, All channels and select Auto for monitoring. On Pushes track select Push as the input, Auto for monitoring and All channels also. Select a different instrument for each and see what happens… They both should play a different patch and work as you would expect it to. If you are trying to play two patches from the same plug-in there may be more going on there then what you are telling us?jupebox wrote:
