I'm making my first attempt at recording and editing some video and sound. I'm using Ableton to record the audio and sync it to the video.
I've followed the instructions as laid out on : https://www.ableton.com/en/articles/liv ... -playback/
I installed the ffdshow codecs, everything default. Now when I open a 1080p 16:9 h.264 video into Ableton, the aspect ration is crunched down from 16:9 to 4:3.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?
running Windows 8 x64
Live 9.05 x64
Imported 16:9 video showing in Live 9.05 x64 in 4:3

On a whim, I uninstalled ffdshow and installed the Haali Media Splitter. The video is now appearing properly in Ableton. I'm not sure what this was happening with ffdshow.
