Audio Damage Dubstation?

Post by chemicalkid » Mon Aug 05, 2013 8:33 pm

Has anyone experienced using this. Im struggling to get the desired effects from it.
Im creating some Dub Reggae tracks and the the plugin on return send A. Im then turn the A pot on the track with the instrument I want to effect. The sounds not to good. Any tips for using this? Should I send the return channel to another audio channel and create a neverending loop. Im confused even re reading this :-s

Cheers
Neil

It's a great delay. That whole routing thing your suggesting is done in the plug in with the feedback control. Try turning off sync and use different timings. Also use the low/high cut. A cheap alternative if you have max4live in nedrushes Dirty Echo

It's a shitty delay. Crap, Applesque interface, limited functionality. NOTHING SPECIAL. Live's built-in delays are better. Why wasted your time and money. Go native!

bullocks! It's a perfectly acceptable delay with it's own flavor. It's a mono delay and can be used for an almost tape style "endless" quality.

If you just bought it though, AD has a NO QUESTIONS ASKED 30 day return period. I've had to use it a couple of times.

Imho - Make sure the plug is 100% wet on a Return track.

Try TAL Dub II...as an alternative/ comparison.
2.8ghz Quad Mac, Live 9.77, Remote25, Maschine 1, Fa-66 optical link, Samson 65a. Dog hair.. lots.

I LOVE this delay!
Try fine tuning the hi/low cut knobs. They are pretty extreme so start by setting them at their lowest setting respectively, then make tiny adjustments until you get just the right amount. Don't give up on it though because it really is a great piece of kit when you get to grips with it

Tal Dub II is indeed superior in look, functionality, and price (it's free). Audio Damage has some ball-sucking to do.

I use it alot also with no crackling issues but tend to put Live's compressor after it to boost the volume of the repeats
Live 11 Suite (64 bit)
Windows 10 (64 bit)
Plugins galore

Sounds like a problem with the system, not the plug in
