Ableton Push Manual?

Post by Shokol8 » Wed Aug 07, 2013 9:36 pm

hello,I didn't receive any manual with my push hardware!Idon't know if it supposed to be one or not! I have no idea where I can get it, if it does exist, i will appreciate to know every button, as id watched the video, i don't think all of the specificities of the buttons were explained and if they were, I don't want to jump from video to video to remind myself what the use of a button or how to get back to one task, so thank you to let me know , keep it up! ;D

PS: Unless you're supposed to have one in the box when you receive it, but mine wasn't there!??

Pity there is ZERO discussion in the manual about how to naviagate the browser - or how to import and browse your own samples. Bah!

Not really I was meaning a real manual, at least one you could print, like you should have with an hardware!, I imagine they saved every little to make the push affordable but at least they could have made one and printable! I would have like to know all the little trick rapidly, without having to look at vid tutorial that doesn't show any , and just show you the base of the basic!

Hopefully they will be able to update the push for that, cos for the moment , I can't really find this really creative in the way ,that they say you don't have to touch the computer anymore , I still think that if you don't tweak and twist your audio , it's not only midi involved, you can't get out something that will stay original for long! I really like the intuitivity of live 8, 9 bring some good points but i think they went a bit backward to privilege the push. I still rather have the computer in front of me and the push on the side as midi controller, even tom cosm havn't published many vid with the push, so i think it's quite limited in term hands-off-the-computer-freeness, let's wait and only the time will show us! The day people will think ahead will be the day when , every midi controller will have his own custom app as novation is keen to do! ;D

P.S one simple thing i like to do too, is just set the sensitivity a bit lower, it's a bit annoying to hammer the controller even with accent on or off, not sure my neighbours will appreciate for long, but even that without manual, i'm stucked to know how to it!

Actually, that link thekillingtree gave you is just the web version of Chapter 27 of the Live 9 PDF, which is the manual for the Push. So in Live, go to Help > Read Live Manual, then navigate to Chapter 27, "Using Push." Your PDF viewer should let you specify pages to print out if you prefer a hardcopy. (Personally, I've found putting PDFs on tablets like the NookColor or iPad to be more convenient than printed manuals- but the choice is yours.)

Hold down the 'user' button. That brings up the menu of sensitivity and velocity scales
