Not yet, but I'm treating mine like a little baby in some self made casing.

yeah, push buttons quality isn't the best in the world, but it's ok for me, it's not a problem if they continue to work!

Is it overall quality of the device you're looking to analyse?

I'm constantly fawning over this unit, so i must seem like a total fanboy freak. But I cannot relate in a single post how brilliant Push is. It has shortcomings in some areas (which I hope will be remedied via updates/scripts etc), but the pros far outweigh the cons.

Build-wise it exudes quality. Whether the coating will wear off soon or not I don't know. I've not transported it in a backpack.

I'd agree. I could definitely see how what happened in the video came about if you gig a lot or are putting in a backpack or gig bag a lot. But I don't think it's an issue for most studio musicians. If you do gig, just get a decksaver for it and you don't need to worry about it either.

The Pros of Push far outweigh the possibility of this happening IMO.

I just picked mine up a couple of days ago so I can't really tell you about the wear and tear on the buttons but I'm digging the rest so far... can you say FX automation? lol you know that drill.

I'm going to give it a few more days but I'm pretty sold on it and I think I will be selling my Renaissance. Way to much frustration for way to long with that thing.

I know you are all about sampling and re-sampling; I haven't dug into it much with the Push so you may want to make sure you explore what it can do for your sampling workflow. For me I do a lot of synth stuff so it's almost a no brainer that I'd make the switch.

Anyway good luck on the decision 8)

Exactly, and I already evaluated Live's Sampling and Resampling which works surprisingly good !

I'm telling you guys.. Be carefull with the coating!
I just got an Email from ableton saying that the wearing of the rubber coating is not a matter of warranty
(even if your push never left the studio and if the wearing starts after a month of carefull use)

I haven't had that kind of problem yet but I suspect it would with lots of wear. I wonder how much the person in the video had been using his Push for that to happen. I also don't think the fading corners would bother me unless it started to fade out what the buttons say. I wonder if the same thing has happened to Maschine.

Not at all, but I do wash my hands very frequently to get the oils and food smell off of them.
