There have been a number of bloodless revolutions. Many during the fall of the iron curtain, such as the velvet revolution in czechoslovakia, which was of course people trying to get out of communism.

Seems to me that the deciding factor of whether a revolution is bloodless or not has as much to do with when someone has the good sense to know when they are beaten than whatever the ideologies of the revolutionaries.

Or maybe occasionally things just work out ok.
