Smutek, you've nothing to be sorry about and much to be proud about.
Can I mention a book I think might help you - Alan Carr's "The easyway to stop smoking". Sorry if someone has already mentioned it, i haven't read the whole thread...
Best wishes,
Fraq

At least you gave it a good try Smutek, well done for that.

Now more importantly how are you going to finance the Live 5 upgrade, what’s the new plan?

And even more importantly will I be able to do more stupid photoshop based gags around the new plan.

This is it now.
Note the bag of aniseed behind the mouse.
I bought a camera with the non-nicotine savings to come.

I must make a confession im a vinyl junkie a real bad one and I cant and wont stop EVER!!! i deffo need help and top be honest I dont want it. I may be a 100% Ableton DJ now but I still buy the black stuff. In recent months I have been moving to Cd's and Artist Wavs but I still get the cravings everyday I log on to the Bay and then I start sweating and I have to buy it 0.99p, £1 each one there just so moreish lol!!!!

O well you cant win em all least the fags have been ditched and life would be dull without some vice's

Don't want a car. Can't drive while drunk... 8)
But, yeah, there are some more possible savings.

Hvergang!

Hi ye fellow junkies!
I didn't read all the above posts, but I got the general idea.
To those who are trying or considering to: Go for it. You can do it!
Why? Coz I did it! :D
I've smoked over 250.000 cigarettes before I kicked the habit 3 months ago.
Just resurfacing from the depression right now.
All saved money has gone into whisky and such, but i'm still kinda amazed & proud i got this far.
Most rewarding btw is the amount of time i'm saving, not so much the money...

Hvergang to you too! (assuming that is friendly thing to say...)

Sounds nice! Can become a new nordic export like "smorgasbord" and "ombudsman".

I'm referring to the adverts for Tuborg beer. The text goes:
- When does a Tuborg taste as best?
- Everytime! [danish: hvergang]

Hvergang to you too!

And it's been one and a half week without 3-(1-Methyl-2-pyrrolidinyl)pyridine, nicotine. Still a bit shaky...

alt, hver gang, over det hele (men ikke nikotin)
allting, var gång, överallt (utom inte nikotinen)
alles, iedere keer, overal (maar geen nicotine)
(courtesy InterTran(TM))

Hang on there. It won't feel very good for a while (in fact, if you go my way, it will feel pretty bad), but things will get better. Promise :)

Well, and I started my journey today.

I´m almost at the end of my workday (where I usually smoke 6/7 cigarettes a day), I haven´t smoked once, and it´s been easy.

Taking loads of coffee, though...I do feel somewhat hyperactive...people say I´m talking loud and speaking fast.

I´m not feeling any cravings, but I´m kind of worried for what will happen the next 3/4 days...the good thing is that I convinced this girl here at work to join me, so she´s decided she´ll stop smoking next monday!

Don't do that man! There's a million ways to smoke dope without nicotine.
If you don't know how, I'll come by and teach you (you're buying!).

Passed over Brighton last thursday btw. On the first non-smoking flight that didn't drive me insane...

I ain't really a druggy but I can say that nicotine is probably the worst I've been addicted to... can't really shake it for more than a few months at a time. it really is a shit habit. The way it usually goes for me is that I quit, feel good about it, then something goes to shit and I start hating everything and start smoking again just to spite the world... if only selfdestruction wasn't so sexy

I can only say that if you think about it rationally, not smoking should actually be easier than smoking, as smoking involves buying the things, lighting them up, inhaling the smoke, etc. etc... What's always worked for me is to just try and hate the little fuckers much as you can.

Err. I'm actually smoking right now, so I might not be the best person to take advice from, but well. Good luck to anyone who tries..!
