Hi guys.
Quick question I was wondering if anyone can help me with. I am a relative novice house music producer and I was wondering...is there some way of running Logic Pro's EFM1 synth with Ableton? I really like the bass sounds I can get from EFM1 with very little effort.
I have fiddled around with operator for ages now and just cant get the sounds I want.
I have been using Ableton for the last 2 years and recently tried Logic for the first time, and have to say I find Ableton so much faster for work flow and much more user friendly than Logic. I can't ever see myself switching over to Logic as I love Ableton..but I really like the EFM1 synth and just wondered if anybody knows a way of running it with Live??
Any help would be massively appreciated...Thanks guys.

There's no elegant solution, but you can do this:
Buy MainStage, it's $29 and includes every Logic synth and most FX, plus it can accept program change messages to switch instruments.
Set up the IAC MIDI driver in Audio/MIDI Setup and use the virtual MIDI port to play patches in MainStage from Live. When you want to record EFM1 into Live there's Soundflower from Cycling 74. http://code.google.com/p/soundflower/downloads/list
