Some Live Packs available for download

Post by Alex » Wed Aug 03, 2005 2:51 pm

Hi folks,

like announced here are a few Live Packs that can be already found on the
Live 5.0 CD. So if you already have the Live 5.0 CD from the boxed version
you do not need to download these Live Packs.

The Live packs for download contain several audio files compressed as flac to reduce the package size. Therefore the size of the download Live packs is a bit smaller as the one from the Live 5.0 CD.

In the next days these Live packs will be available via download from our website too.
But it will still need some time so I announce the links to the Live Packs here.

Note:
Some web browser might have problems when making a left-mouse click on the links.
Instead of that you should use menu commands like "Download linked file" or "Save Link target As..." offered from most web browsers.

You can download the Live packs as .alp file or as .zip when having problems with the download of .alp files. If you download the .zip file you have to unpack it before you can install it.
You can install a Live pack by doube-click or via the "Install Live Pack..." entry from the 'File' menu.

Can the presets for Simpler and Impuse be used with Live 4 also? ...or only with 5?

anyone else having problems when down loading in Safari 2.0 option click/right click I see the cool icon in the downloads window that quickly changes into a .alp.txt, no more cool icon and a bunch of garbled text...

Great stuff! Thanks Alex.

For those of us who didn't purchase the boxed version, how many more packs can we expect to complete the Live 5 CD files?

Stupid and slightly annoyed.
Can't use them from the library.
And opening in broswer, no content is shown.

Double clicking, yes, but that will start another instance of Live.
Why not a drag'n'drop with q "Install...?" or menu item?

And where does it go after install?

No hit for .alp or alp when searcing the pdf documentation.

you can install from within live..
choose 'install livepack' et voila!
the new patches are nicely organized in the allready existing folders, or if they are a new catagorie a new folder is created..

a bad thing about this is that you don't know which patch belongs to which livepack unles a patch is named after a livepack as 'Livepack01 Bass.adv'

How do you get to the install livepack option?

BTW, some great sounds here, like the choir Tuvan Throat!
